Half a Dozen

Do I only blog about chairs now or what?

The answer is yes.

Anyway, LAST SUMMER I bought this fabric from Fabric.com (after it came back in stock from being back ordered dashing all my hopes & dreams) and last week I finally did something with it:

A huge improvement over black vinyl, I think! I especially like how it goes with the burlap curtains, and that I actually took time to make each chair seat look the same!

PS, I have probably 4 meters of the fabric left over (I ordered way too much after I couldn't get a straight answer as to which direction the chevrons went) so if anyone is interested in taking it off my hands, let me know and we can work something out!

Meal Plan Monday

It's a week of new recipe's and old favorites around here!

Monday: Red Lentil Dahl
Tuesday: Crock Pot Jambalaya
Wednesday: Glazed Salmon Bundles with roasted broccoli (I am sure that sesame bok choy would be good too, I've just never made it!)
Thursday: Pulled Pork Sandwiches and coleslaw
Friday: Fish & Chips
Saturday: Homemade Pizza (maybe)

And for a snack this week: Creamy Cantaloupe Popsicles (I know it's winter, but it's not that cold where I live....also, preparing for my warm weather vacation by eating popsicles!)

Update! Here's the recipe for pulled pork sandwiches, from me & my dad.

Pork Rub
1/4 c pepper
1/4 c paprika
1/4 c brown sugar
2 TBSP salt
2 tsp dried mustard
1 tsp cayenne pepper

Rub this over your pork roast (You won't use it all, so save the rest in an airtight container). You can use any type of pork roast, but I like boneless shoulder roasts.

Bake uncovered,  fatty side up, at 250* for 8 hours.

Shred meat with two forks, mix in some of your favorite BBQ sauce, and serve on a bun. Delish!

What are you making?

Ta-Da

As promised, here's the "after" of the latest chair project I did for a friend of mine:

The "before" was.....pretty ugly. Straight out of the '70's.

Anyway, I am glad to be done (as I am sure my friend is too to get her chair back...after oh, 6 months!). Gotta get this thing out of my house so I can start more projects!
